I'm around. Just had a few really rough days. See news article

http://www.nbcsports.com/horseracing/1551526/detail.html

As a result of the accident one of my partners decided to walk away from the race horse game. He just doesnt have the stomach for it any more. I have been scrambling like a mad woman to get my horses (that were out on lease) He literally just walked away. I've been really busy trying to locate them as they are spread out all over the country side. Thus far everyone is present and accounted for I just have to bring them home :)

Andrew's future is uncertain at this point. We all feel responsible for him. Another Jockey was badly injured. Our Montana Dream is fine just cut up a bit . John (owner trainer) is pretty shaken up but so it goes....

Sorry to hear that Judith.. Hope you don't have to move all your ponies home.. After all, there is only so much room around the kitchen table.

I'm fine, tough as nails you know, but my nuggety center is really pulling for Andrew and Arroyo (no one calles him Norberto for heaven sakes!) Looks like Arroyo has a busted up collar bone, he's been through worse he will be back on a horse ASAP. Looks pretty grim for Andrew though his folks are flying in from England, that can't be a good sign. But we all know the hazzards of this game, unfortunately this is one of them.

For those of you with a morbid sense of curiousity you can see the crash on

http://www.racereplays.com/nyra/index.cfm?start=gen_nyra

go to Belmont, then May 25th then 4th race. It looks like a really nice trip around, then they start to bunch as young rookie fillies will do and then things go south. You cant see it from this angle but Andrew goes right over the rail!

Update:

Andrew is on a respirator. He has chest fractures and had internal bleeding that has been dealt with. Doctors are still not commenting on his spinal injury. They are keeping him sedated to the gills to keep him from moving. Not looking good folks :(

This guy is one of the good ones. He didnt get many rides as he is WAY taller than alot of the other jocks. Very soft and really great with the horses.
