A Life Changing Event

Thought I would give a little update here. I know some of you have been following her caringbridge page. Been kind of a whirlwind here the past few months leading up to the surgery but I think we are on the backside of the worst part. Thanks for all the prayers and words of encouragement for Alison. I do believe all the prayers and support have been working.

Thanks for all the kind words. Definitely prayers have been answered. We feel so fortunate and blessed that so many people we have never even met could take the time out of their busy schedules to pray for us and send us so many words of encouragment.

Alison is doing very very well. Met with transplant team yesterday and other than watcching her blood tests twice a week, there isn't much for them to do. Everything is just pretty much spot on what they like in only a little over 2 weeks. Most patients take 4 to 5 weeks for that to happen. Maybe she will get to go home early!

I am back in Sioux falls too. Going to do some fun things with the whole family this weekend like the SD horse fair, the zoo and anything else that meets our fancy this in this nice weather. I cant do much at home anyway as I am not supposed to lift anything over 20 lbs so I guess its time to rest up a little. I might have to just focus on taking pictures this spring :-)
