Along about 6 pm or so our power went out, it had thundered a time or two and had a lil wind. Weren't no use sittin here at home with nothin to do, so we thought we'd ride out to the pasture and see if we could see the 25 hogs we seen last night. No such luck seein the hogs, but it was a neat evenin.

Looks like plenty of firewood this winter....but I think we'll wait till it's not 105 degrees to do the cuttin it up part.

I don't mind havin to drag out the lamp for light ever now n then. Usually we'll play cards or a board game, but since it was a week night, Lil Lilly went to bed and so did Mr Lilly.

Those couple rains we got after I shreaded really helped the grass. But there's more weeds now too :? Not as many as before tho. Shreader was set on it's lowest setting but there were still new weeds that were about 2 inches tall that the shreader didnt touch. Now they are growin.

Yor country sure looks nice.

Here you would have to step lively to keep your toes warm as it is only thirty eight degrees this morning.

Thanks for the pictures.

Beatuful pictures, Lilly. Your sunset pictures are fabulous. Old lamps make wonderful photography material. I took a picture years ago of a cowboy with his hat tipped back reading by lantern light, that turned out pretty well. Keep 'em coming.

My whole computer system is jam-packed with too many pictures. Have sent the computer in to a professional to see if he can download enough stuff to get things back up and running. Meantime, I'm borrowing my kid's computer and holding off on taking more pictures. This age of technology is fine when it works, but highly frustrating when it doesn't. :? :???:  :)

I completely understand what your goin thru Soapweed. I've had mine so packed with pictures it gets bogged down too. Ever so often I take mine off the laptop and put them onto disks. I'm seriously thinking about gettin an external harddrive for nothing but pictures, since saving them to disk ain't a guaranteed deal. Sometimes the disks go bad and you loose everything on them. After nearly pullin my hair completely out last Christmas workin on my CD's to send out, we finally figured out it was because there were so many pictures, and they were such large files, the computer was usin 100% of it's memory and I was still tryin to cram more photo's onto the program doin the disk........So it wasn't really me not doin somethin right, it was me workin with somethin that was full and bein slow.
The laptop is due for service and hopefully an upgrade in memory. (if it don't cost an arm and a leg) We were talkin last night, son and I, about takin it in.

Great pics, Lilly!!!!! I love the kerosene lamp one, too........makes me think of the "old" days, back on the Diamond Bar......... :?

I put my pics on CD pretty regularly, then just delete them from the computer..........seems to work pretty good. And it's easy to tell when I need to move them again, like now.........gettin slow as molasses in January again.....

Mr. nr got so tired of his slow computer due to all my downloaded videos and pictures that I make DVDs of the grandkids with that he got another computer for me to use. Now we're in the tedious process of deleting heaps of unlabeled  stuff I should have weeded long ago. my "filing" system leaves much to be desired  but I'm hoping to REFORM!
