These are lil onion flowers. They smell like onions but don't really have a bulb under the ground. They are about the size of a pencil eraser. I was playin with the zoom and macro settings.

Great pictures as usual Lilly :D Sure glad you got that new camera!

I always wanted a turtle when I was little. When I went with Mike to Kansas the first time (and the second for that matter) he said "oh we'll see turtles everywhere....didn't see a single one :? )

Our wild onions don't bloom til they've been out for a long time. And when they do they don't look at all like yours.

Thanks Nicky. LOL when I was looking at your post titled Buttercups. I thought to myself, we have flowers that are like that...or awful similar...we call em...weeds hehe. I took a photo of one today.

Prolly cuz we just don't know the names of em. So we call em weeds. I know around here alot of people call the primroses that grow along the roadsides "Buttercups". and they are pink. :? LOL Pretty tho no matter what they are called.

As I was playin today with it, I found it has a "macro" and "super macro" feature. Only thing is...with the super macro the zoom doesn't do anything. You hafta get right up close. Says in the book up to 1/4 inch away from subject.

Can't you see it now....lol me crawlin around on the ground gettin that close to flowers? And you know.......I"ll be doin that. Thank goodness no one else around has a camera to point at me when I'm in that position. hahaha

I find that odd about the zoom not working with the macro feature...mine doesn't either. But I found out the hard way, not by reading the manual  And I'm glad noone has a camera to take pictures of me taking pictures either ! LOL
