I don't know what kinda critter this is, one of the neighbor's exotics. But I do know he's in a pickle......I'm just wondering if the slicker was bein used at the time he took it? and did that fella fair very well, or if he just found it somewhere and decided he'd wear it while it rained.....??? LOL He's got it on there perdy good, holes thru both sides, and it's all the way on there. He really looked ticked off while I was takin pictures.

I was seriously wonderin if we should go lookin for the neighbor. He's a weekender, that's only up once in a blue moon. It was rainin off and on yesterday.........But has no tresspassing signs everywhere, and has a tendancy to use guns when someone even drives up his drive....so...if the deer took him down for his slicker........

He's got all kinda exotic deer, buffalo, water buffalo, giraffes, zebras and such, and plopped them down in a pine forest. Cut all the hardwood off it so there's not even acorns for the deer to eat. NOT where these animals should be if you ask me. They aren't mistreated (so to speak) but they definately aren't anywhere near a natural environment.

lilly- Does he sell them- or charge to shoot them? Or just raise them to look at...

One of the big things up here now is that the Tribe is running buffalo on a chunk of reservation pasture- then they sell permits to outfitters to bring hunting clients up to shoot them in the pasture...Not my idea of a hunt- but one of the outfitters told me it is a big moneymaker....

As far as I know greg, he's still wearin the dern thang.

This fella bought this property about 10 years ago, logged all the hardwood off it, and keeps that cut, has nothin but pines on it, put up the big pipe and chain link fence, and then started bringin in animals. He has no pens of anykind to catch them in if need be, and does absolutely nothin with the place. Very little upkeep on it, ya might see one of his hired hands once a month. Last I heard he'd bought about 40 wild hogs and released them on the place LOL and there's several creeks goin in and out, the hogs disappeared perdy fast. Probably the whole deal is just a tax write off of some sort. He's a big oil man from Houston.

I'll hafta drive back by there tomorrow and see if I see the deer still wearin the slicker suit.

Few years back Montana outlawed all game farms because of the danger of spreading diseases to the wild game and cattle- didn't go over good with the farmers and ranchers that had spent a lot on their animal purchases, but I still agree that it was something that needed to be done...

The herd health of both was too important...
