Taking the Iraq issue out of the equation. How would you say the job G.W.Bush has done for the Country of the USA during his 8 year employment as President? Are you happy with the state of your country? What do you deem as improvements that are pinnacle for the next President to tackle immediately.

If you take Iraq out of the pic, I would like him less.............he acts too much like a liberal.
In Iraq he should have told the enemy that he was going to kick their a$$
every which way but loose just for starters. It should have been stated that the US was going to boldly without question completely emphatically wipe their butts off the face of the earth. Then remind them daily with whatever means it took to make them truly believe it.
But instead we have the liberal allies give them hope in the chance that we will cut and run and the enemy will prevail.

Remove his strong fight against Terrorist! And he is just your typical politician. You know the old story of the Scorpion and the Frog? Politicians are Politicians. We can not expect anything else from them. At best we can hope that there political agenda parallels what is best for America.

I am sure it is the same in Canada? Politicians are what they are. you have the Satanic party and the Delvish Party.

I agree with you Aplusnit rarely does it happens that a leader comes along and has what it takes to change many things. It does happen but just not enough....

I asked the question because I only see MR.. Bush from outside eyes...I wanted to know if many here were happy with his job on the inside of his country...I sometimes wonder if judging him on one issue, even though it will forever be historic,as a fair gauge of his entire Presidency..

I have my views about GW. I think he changed the way the world now visualizes the USA. I cant say either way if that needed to happen or not, that is for americans to decide.I just think more enemies have been created and even in small numbers hate can lead to unthinkable acts of violence.....I only hope it all gets sorted out before God has to do the sorting....

Since kola didn't respond this morning after she slept on it I thought I would.
Kola is not so dumb to think the two are the same.............but of course that is how a lib tries to portray it even though they know better.
I know kola is not so dumb to make a stupid statement.........she says it in jest......................................................................I hope.

Oh well if that is what she believes it would be a waste of time to explain it to her, other than say she has not a clue to who the enemy truly is. Scary

Funny thing about Bush and people's opinion on him is that many think his fight against the War on Terror has defined him as a Bad leader, but many of us believe it might be one of if not his only Good accomplishment.

Saw him in an interview the other day and they asked him what last big thing he wanted to try to make a difference in as his term nears completion and he said Illegal Immigration, I hope that he can do that. He said he wanted to do something about Social Security but he was afraid it was not going to happen.

I hope he would make some good changes to fight Illegal immigration if so that linked with a strong hand against terrorist I would be adequately pleased with his 8 years. Even though he has been way to liberal so far on this issue as well as other things such as Government spending.

I just hope the next president is a true Conservative. But I doubt that will happen. Best we can hope for is a moderate Conservative.

Taking the Iraq issue out of the equation. How would you say the job G.W.Bush has done for the Country

before Sept 11...President Bush didn't do anything remarkable...the actions on Sept 11 defined his first term...not the other way around....

after Sept 11, ...I felt he was making great strides both in message and actions...

as a vet,...I was concerned at the language Saddam was using in Responding to the escalation,..and towards the UN...I felt that it would lead to US re-entering the war....but decided that no matter what I would support the troops and their mission until the last solder came home...so I can also not "judge Bush" actions with out regards to Iraq....

In Iraq he has let the dems define the war...and the rebuilding program is a mistake.....Iraqs' surrender was never demanded.
It became more like a "nation building mission" then a war...mistakes were made..because Bush wanted to still be compassionate?,..while sounding stern...

in all other areas he either watered down his plan or was to liberal..and thus failed to get most plans past.

I believe that medications for the elderly is needed,..

I believe SS needs fixed....it's still the same...

I believe his immigration plan was,..well liberal...

and I believe that many pork "earmarks" blotted budgets.

It is also hard to just judge him,..when he in himself is unable to actually "make Law" and that all politicians need to work together to fix anything...but are unwilling to do so..

add in obstructionist policies of both parties and little actually gets fixed.

overall I would say he was as good of a republican as Clinton was a democrat. both are politicians and Neither actually fixed anything.,..but at least Bush is dealing with some of the issues Clinton ignored.

but then again I am a little harsh towards him because I feel he (and all politicians) have failed to enforce illegal immigration.

But with all that said...if the vote were held today I would still vote for him over either Gore or Kerry...in fact not one of the current democratic candidates would get me to switch my vote.
