About those clothes

Just what the McCain campign didn't want, more talk about Sarah's wardrobe. But Sarah just couldn't let it go. Sort of like "toopergate", I guess.

Palin and Hasselbeck blast 'ridiculous' wardrobe story
Ensuring that news of the Republican National Committee's sartorial spending spree will remain in the headlines for at least one more news cycle, Sarah Palin on Sunday sounded off on the $150,000 wardrobe that was purchased for her in September, denouncing the report as "ridiculous" and declaring emphatically: "Those clothes, they are not my property."

A senior adviser to John McCain told CNN's Dana Bash that the comments about her wardrobe "were not the remarks we sent to her plane this morning." Palin did not discuss the wardrobe story at her rally in Kissimmee later in the day.

Yep- thats all the news stations are talking about--first it was a split Repub party-- now its a split Repub ticket :???:  ....

McCain and his handlers don't want to take the blame for his loss- so they are dumping it on Palin- and Sister Sarah isn't taking getting thrown under the bus lightly- so she's now turning on the campaign and off running her own...

Thats all we need- another administration with a rogue Vice President- and a President that can't handle his people....  :(

Yet Biden contradicts Obama on every issue and nobody gives it a second thought. Where is ol' Joe anyway?? Tied up and gagged somewhere I'm sure.

Please somone clear this up for me. If the clothes were given to Sarah will She and her husband have to pay taxes on the value of the clothes. If so can she take the entire amount if given to charity. Some where I read that you could only take 20 precent of the value if you itemized and 20 precent of the value each year as a carry forward. Is this a fact. If the RNC owns them I would think they could do what ever they wanted to with them the only ones having a problem with this would be someone that contributed to the McCain campaign. Does the RNC or the DNC have to pay any taxes or they tax exempt. If a person contributes to a campaign can they deduct the amount as a deduction.

If it's true that she's used to buying clothes at 2nd hand stores and NOW she's got $150K worth of Neiman and Saks.....do you think she's gonna give'em up....HELL NO!!

No one else would either.....

That's just more crap to smooth out the issue.

Besides if 2nd hand clothes were good enough for the people of Alaska to see her in....why are they not good enough for Joe 6Pack to see her in???

Are the people of Alaska of lower standards than the other states????

It sure sounds like it.

Well Kolo, if you had attended my brother's funeral in Alaska, you wouldn't have thought it was a funeral, based on dress.

From what I have seen, they don't live by the social class standards the rest of the U.S. live by up there. The playing field is very much level. You either survive or you don't. Many times having extra nickels doesn't help a whole lot. No one is all that impressed. They've seen the rich tourists enough already.

Whiners aren't going to like Palin an awful lot. She's seen tough times, no matter how well dressed she is. Trust me on this. She has seen life and death situations over and over.

Kola get out of that size 25 empire dress and those flip flops, enroll in a weight loss program then come back and talk about Palin and how she dresses. Probably takes 3 acres of good cotton to make you a cotton dress.

I don't see the big deal. Do you think Osama Obama buys his suits off the rack from Sears? You can bet campaign funds are clothing him and his snotty bitch of a wife.

Actually thats wrong- he and his wife are buying their own clothes...She has a Chicago designer that she gets hers from - his suits are off the rack and cost about $1000 a piece.....He has said he goes in and buys 5 identical suits at the same time- and then as pieces wear out, he can interchange the parts....

The press made the big deal about him going to visit his Grandmother (and he was also probably looking for his real birth cert) and nothing said about campaigning!!!!

They can justify it any way they want (like all the other BS) the campaign contributions are paying for it one way or the other. Do you really think he drops five grand of his own money at one time on suits ? I'm sure his wifes clothing designer is just as costly as Palins, just not as well known being from Chicagos south side hoods.
