It's been too dry and full of bugs for much grass hay, but first cutting irrigated alfalfa looks decent . Some cheat but not as bad as last year . The pairs sold in Crawford today looked to be heading SE. At least half the yearlings sold already. Sure glad Corbitt thinks it's a wet year, corn market doesn't agree..

Cattle are starting their exodus in SE Mt and NE Wyoming. It's a sad time with government and weather against you.

I talked to an auctioneer yesterday at the stock show we were at. He said lots of cattle are starting to be sold here as well as the drought tightens it's grip. And not just culling hard. Has had three ranches sell everything

I can remember back in 2011 when the line to unload at the auction in Abilene,Texas stretched back over 4 miles along the access road off of I-20.After we got some good rains calves were bringing 12-1300 bucks and 3 in 1's were selling for 2800 to 3000 bucks.
