Adam Kokesh Did he do it?

I looked at the youtube style video several times and if it is true it was early in the morning.. it could be staged.. (green-screen type filmography is not difficult these days)

even the DC authorities are not sure yet and are investigating..

Former Iraq veteran Adam Kokesh staged an open carry protest in Washington DC today by loading a 12 gauge shotgun near the White House – committing at least four felonies in the process.

“I committed at least four felonies this morning and got it on video,” Kokesh texted.

While the “Million Musket March” may have been a fizzle, it looks like Adam Kokesh went through with his promise to open carry to the Capitol building. In this video, Kokesh is seen loading a shotgun and racking a round in the chamber down the street from the Capitol. It looks to have been filmed very, VERY early in the morning today. He closed with the words “see you next Independence Day,”

Either way... it is a brave move...

happy 4th.

Police investigate gun-rights activist’s video shot in District

U.S. Park Police and the D.C. police are investigating the authenticity of a video that surfaced Thursday morning that appears to show activist Adam Kokesh loading a shotgun in Freedom Plaza and describing himself as part of the “final American Revolution.”

The police said in a joint statement on Thursday that they are aware of the video posted by Kokesh, which “appears to have been taken in Freedom Plaza.”

In a 23-second video posted online, Kokesh pulls four shells out of his suit jacket and loads a shotgun while saying: “We will not be silent. We will not obey. We will not allow our government to destroy our humanity. We are the final American Revolution. See you next Independence Day.”

Sgt. Paul Brooks of the U.S. Park Police said officials became aware of the video entitled “Open Carry March on DC A Success” on Thursday morning.

“Adam Kokesh put up a video showing him loading what appears to be a shotgun in what appears to be Freedom Plaza,” Brooks said. “We checked the area and nothing was found. Now we are in the process of trying to authenticate the video.”

Brooks said it is unclear when the video may have been made.

Kokesh could find himself in legal trouble with his latest stunt if the video is authentic: Carrying a loaded weapon, concealed or unconcealed, is against the law in the District. The possession of a firearm not registered in the District carries a penalty up to a year in prison.

As a result, the U.S. Park Police issued a reminder that D.C. law prohibits carrying a rifle or shotgun within the city.

"Due to the fact that it is currently illegal to carry a loaded firearm into the District of Columbia, we liberty lovers have decided to tweak the nose of big government and show Obama what a clown he is for trying to restrict our natural rights," Toy Gun March organizers wrote on Facebook.

The small group gathered at 9 a.m. at the Memorial Bridge and made their way to the Washington Monument for a rally at 10:30 a.m.

"We're going to have a little free speech, a little fun," Petersen said in advance of the march. "A lot of kids are going to be here."

Events on the Mall, held through 2 p.m., also included face-painting, a water gun battle and a game of kickball. Attendees were able to refill their water guns from a 160-gallon tank.

The kid-oriented focus extended beyond face-painting: The group was also protesting harsh punishments that some schoolchildren have faced for having or playing with toy guns.

"We think that's wrong, because America is a gun culture," Petersen said, adding that a tongue-in-cheek contest would have competitors nibbling Pop Tarts into the shape of guns.

A 7-year-old Maryland boy was suspended from school earlier this year after a teacher said he bit a breakfast pastry into the shape of a gun.

The group also collected toys and money for Toys for Tots. At the conclusion of Wednesday's event, organizers presented a Toys for Tots representative with a $1,200 check and several boxes of donated toys.

And as fate would have it, the Toy Gun Marchers shared space on the bridge with another demonstration.

"I didn't even know about another march across the street," said anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan

Gun rights advocates marched to the National Mall from Arlington while "armed" with water pistols before hosting a rally and a water fight Wednesday.

Organizers of the Toy Gun March said they were promoting responsible gun ownership and trying to place gun owners in a better light. Participants were asked to carry toy pistols with orange tips, water guns, nerf guns and "anything peaceful," the organizers posted on Facebook.

"And the Toy Gun Marchers are here to say that we believe in the second amendment right to bear arms, we believe in the Supreme Court decision, and we are here to say we come in peace," one organizer, Austin Petersen, told News4 during the march. Petersen is also editor of the Libertarian Republic.

"We are non-violent; we want to show people that we're respectful, and that we are responsible gun owners," he said.

The Toy Gun March was scheduled after a separate group's march with real guns, planned for Thursday, was canceled.

sure wish I had know about the second march.. it sounded like fun.... and gets a point across..

it does show the liberals how far they have gone,.. but it also shows others who do not own guns,.. see no reason to own guns how far liberals have gone in taking away our rights....

something to laugh & giggle at.

I hope you had a good laugh at it as well... but I doubt you considered the implication of actually going to a march with a gun in the northeast.

Living in New Jersey you are one small step from having no gun rights...

in DC it is even worse.. So how do you fight the goverment who now can take away those rights without jeopardizing your future and ending up in prison ... you really can't...

and once those rights are gone,.. almost all would say the same thing.. criminals do not need 2nd amendment rights...

So who is going to fight for your rights now?

How many times in defending the 2nd have you conceded that those with mental problems and criminals do not deserve to have a gun?

how many times would you consider that some of those who lost the rights were actually fighting to defend your rights and took a stand?

my bet is you would not step up and defend a criminal or mentally ill persons right to have,.. own,.. and carry a gun..
