does anyone know a good place to advertise hay for sale?

If you are on Face Book you may try some of their swap sites... I know your part of the state has one - Western Farm and Ranch Swap because I just saw a new hay add stuck up from Chester area..

For Sale: 500 ton of 40% alfalfa/60% grass in large rounds. Put up in mid June, good quality, no rain, located north of Chester, Mt. Trucking available. $75.00 a ton.

Lots of hay for sale from all over the state...And as I've watched those trying to sell some- the price has been dropping...

sign up on the internet hay exchange. but be very careful, lots of crooks on there... free to make an account. there is a glut of hay out this year, you gotta find the right spot, but it will move

Around here Craigslist works best and doesn't cost a thing. I sold over a 1000 bales last year on craigslist.

craigslist or bisman

That Bisman site is really good... Didn't know about it until the other day someone told me about it when I was looking for some pups... It has a lot stuff from ND on it...
And thru it and FB I was able to find the pups I was looking for...

Seems like a lot of Wyoming is or was, dry. We sold some hay into there.
I put a classified ad right here on ranchers.net classified and it must have gone out to several papers, cuz that's the ad they saw in a paper. It was a free ad. Of course for your hay, the freight would have a lot to do with selling it into Wyoming.

Then I remembered about a little Wyoming ag newspaper: The Wyoming Livestock Roundup. Here is a link:

Pat Goggins paper, which we don't get any longer, goes into Wyoming too.

Hope this helps. Good luck selling your hay!!
