"Aerial Survellance Of Livestock Farms Saves Money&quot

Blocking the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from conducting aerial surveillance of livestock farms to spot Clean Water Act violations would cost taxpayers $1 million a year, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

The agency charged with reviewing legislation for budgetary implications said last week the Farmer’s Privacy Act would restrict the EPA to on-site inspections at costs of up to $10,000 per location.

The bill authored by Rep. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) blocks the EPA from using aerial surveillance unless adequate public notice is given and the property owner has given their consent.

“It’s getting to the point that I’ll have to file for a Clean Water Act permit if I want to turn the hose on in my backyard,” Capito said when she introduced her bill in June. “The EPA will take any opportunity to make it harder for farmers, energy operators, or any business that deals with the EPA, to operate.”

Watched a bit on tv last night about all the fines Wal-Mart has been
subject to because of the EPA and the Clean Water Act.

While I am no fan of Wal-Mart, it's pretty unbelievable the fines they
have had to pay. There was just one after another. That might be the
cost of doing business, but with fines like these, they won't be able to maintain "the low-price leader" image that they have. The consumer
will wind up paying the fines in the end.

Everyone wants clean water, but there needs to be restrictions on how far the EPA can go. Unfortunately most people are ignorant to the fact that these companies just past the costs onto the consumers.
It works the same way when raising taxes on the wealthy business owners, Or raising the minimum wage, like the Dems love to do. It just gets passed on from the business owner to the middle & lower class.Obama,Biden, Nancy, Harry, Old timer ,Flounder & the gang won't ever admit that though.............
