After the Blizzard

Came out of the house the other day and smelled something peculiar. I got smelling and looking around the van (the last time I had smelled something like that was when the boys caught a mink and were skinning it and they didn't know anything about the scent gland) I thought maybe we run over something. I looked up and spotted this guy, he was getting out of the Blizzard.

Now we have to worry about avalanches.

Got up early to feed the cows this morning, I had to push snow out for a trucker that was picking up some grain.

I had to shut the lid on the bin, the next 3 pictures were taken from that vantage point.

Most of the snow ended up in the trees, coulees, yard or on the Highway.

Great pictures Coyote! Bet the weasel was happy to get out of the wind too. As long as he doesn't dine on your chickens! I'm going to need to see the rest of those antlers below the weasel! :D Please!

Beautiful pictures of your winter wonderland, complete with the white ermine. At least the tip of his tail is black. The chances are quite slim of going out on any given day and finding a weasel to photograph. Good work. :)

Nice pics coyote. I love the one of the sunrise or sunset well the one with the sun in it. How come you stippled the roof in the weasel house? Those weasels can do the work of several cats if you can keep it out the chicken coop.

Per, the stippled came the with garage and house when we bought it. I wonder if the previous owner was hoping the stipple would attract cougars.

Only thing that stinks worse than a mink or a weasel is a timber wolf. You could always tell at school who'd found something in his traps that morning. I wasn't allowed to trap the yard weasels just out in the bush.
