And I believe it was him that instigated the whole mess. Sure a lot of compelling evidence.

McCain: ‘Hell to pay’ if Russian separatists shot down Malaysian plane
By Mario Trujillo - 07/17/14 12:47 PM EDT
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said there would be "hell to pay" if Russia or Russian separatists were involved in the crash of a Malaysian airplane over eastern Ukraine.
McCain said the incident had the markings of someone mistaking the Malaysian airline with a Ukrainian military plane.
"It has the earmarks of a tragic mistake made by someone who had the capability to shoot down an aircraft," he said. "And we know at least from the last few couple of weeks that could be Russian or separatist Russian capability. If that is true, this is really, really something that commands our attention to bring this kind of thing to a halt."
If Russia or Russian separatists were involved in the incident, McCain said, "I think there is going to be hell to pay and should be."
Still, McCain said people should not yet leap to conclusions, predicting that answers would come in the next few hours.
"To leap to conclusions could be very embarrassing and really inappropriate until we have more information," McCain said on MSNBC. "But there have been, as you mentioned, previous instances of shoot down of Ukrainian aircraft."
"It has the earmarks — and I'm not concluding — but it has the earmarks of a mistaken identification of a aircraft that they may have believed was Ukrainian,” he said. "If that is true, this is a horrible — if it is true — it is a horrible tragedy."
A number of news agencies have reported that the Boeing 777 carrying nearly 300 people was shot down in Eastern Ukraine. Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko told The Associated Press that his country's military did not shoot down any "airborne targets."

1988: US warship shoots down Iranian airliner
July 3, 1988 - An American naval warship patrolling in the Persian Gulf has shot down an Iranian passenger jet after apparently mistaking it for an F-14 fighter.
All those on board the airliner - almost 300 people - are believed dead.
The plane, an Airbus A300, was making a routine flight from Bandar Abbas, in Iran, to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
The USS Vincennes had tracked the plane electronically and warned it to keep away. When it did not the ship fired two surface-to-air missiles, at least one of which hit the airliner.
Navy officials said the Vincennes' crew believed they were firing at an Iranian F14 jet fighter, although they had not confirmed this visually.
President Reagan said the Vincennes had taken "a proper defensive action" and called the incident an "understandable accident", although he said he regretted the loss of life.
Less than an hour before the shooting down of the passenger jet the Vincennes was engaged in a gun battle with three Iranian gunboats after a helicopter from the Vincennes was fired on.
US warships have been escorting Kuwaiti tankers in and out of the Persian Gulf since last July as part of its controversial undertaking to keep the Straits of Hormuz open during the eight-year-old Iran-Iraq War.
Last May the patrol frigate USS Stark was almost sunk by an Iraqi fighter-bomber, killing 37 sailors.
