I'm sure you'll do well. :D :D

I sure miss the days when my boys were in 4H. They're all grown up now, but both look back fondly on their 4H careers. We've still got the plaques and pictures up on the wall.

Stick with it, win or lose, and some day you'll see rewards you never thought of. It's not just ribbons and trophys. There is so much more.

All those interviews for scholarships and trips? They are really preparing you for the job interviews of tomorrow. No where else can you learn that skill, and it's a terrific skill to have. I remember interviewing senior members for a regional scholarship once, and could not believe now mature and capable they were! I would have given them all a scholarship, they were so impressive. Prospective employers feel the same way when they see 4H on a resume. They know they are getting someone with common sense and a work ethic, and they'll take that over an unknown any day.

I still get the feeling on a warm June night that I should be outside helping to wash calves....... I guess that'll never go away. :D

Have a good show. :D :D :D 8)

I hope you had good luck today, and in Saskatoon. That's a tough show, it's kind of hard beating the kids in the Hanley and Saskatoon clubs, though. Some of the kids from here have left our little club and joined up with Saskatoon, only for the fact that kids from Saskatoon usually pick up all the prizes. It's nice to see families being so loyal to their own communities!

That is so true, Kato! My daughter's teachers always say they can pick out a 4-Her any time...they are mostly Leaders and do well speaking in front of people. MCG has done it since she was 3 as a Cloverbud (although MT doesn't recognize a 3 year old as a Cloverbud), MCG thought it was (and is) the greatest!! The real little kids are the biggest sponges, aren't they? That is why our Extension Agent will never turn down a child under the age of 6 who wants to be in 4-H. 8)

I am sure you will do well, ACS, and good luck anyway :!:

My steer placed fourth in his class, I won the written test for intermediates, won intermediate judging, and got Reserve Grand Champion Intermediate Showman, because he said i handled an ornery calf well-my steer was misbehaving quite a bit. lol.

Shelly,
Last time i was in the toon town for that Show, I ended up taking home the Champion Angus yearling heifer-I got her cheap, i did all the work, an i got an offer for 10 grand. lol

Hope you can come watch greg and mrs.greg. lol. I dont need no doc-I skipped school to wrestle calves and get them ready for the pasture. lol. I can keep up with the best of em. lol.
