Rained all day yesterday- turned to snow last night- still snowing and now have an inch or two of snow on the ground and 25 mph winds whipping it around... Temp is on the drop, 10 degrees right now...
Looks like we are in for a nasty week...
Colder than a old maids bed this morning and story is much colder next few days, oh well,it is Dec and it is Mont so guess it is no surprise. Did'nt want to feed these old cows for at least another month, guess we'll see what really happens.

BMR, what would you estimate the weight of the sleigh? My wife has a Shetland and some minis that would look sweet pulling a sleigh like yours but I am concerned about the weight.

I'm not much of a guesser about weight but the weight of the sleigh wouldn't be a problem. The friction of pulling is the biggest part of the pull.

The runners are built out of I think 16 guage tubing not 100 wall. The pole is light wall as well. I don't know if you have a Mig welder but I used a 120V suitcase welder. Worked amazingly well for the small project. I ran a rod along the bottom of the runners for wear. The bottom runner is 6 ft long.

That's a cool little sleigh, looks like some fun is in store.
I have tried to find NR's post with Santa's coyote team and I can't find it under any keyword. Do you know how to pull it back up if it still exists in the system?

Leanin' H told me to go train a dog team so I tried. Can't get them to pull very good.

My apologies for mis-remembering the artist and author of the "It's been a Looong Winter" post.

I was thinking it was Northern Rancher. ( Hats off in honor anyway) Fine sculpture using cryogenically preserved Canis latrans. :)
