AMAC, the Association of Mature Citizens, has just released a survey of
the premiums now being quoted for qualifying health plans under the
Affordable Care Act. They have reported an average annual increase of 25% since open enrollment began Nov. 15.

The survey covered a number of national insurance carriers including
Aetna, Assurant, United Healthcare and Humana.

In many rural areas the results have been even more discouraging with
rates increasing by 40-50%. The rates will be effective January 1, 2015.

This information was compiled from several hundred premium quotes that have been issued by the insurance companies since they have released their new rates last Saturday.

if that isn't bad enough news.. then just wait until the working poor start filing thier taxes and find out the difference between a "subsidy" and a "tax credit"..

Our ObamaCare calculator will help you calculate tax credits and subsidies for health insurance sold on the Health Insurance Marketplace. Use this quick health insurance tax credit guide to help you understand the process.

gee in two short sentences they switch up the assumption and replace it with the fact .. a fact that most "enrollee's" will now have to deal with..

Typically CSR subsidies only apply to covered essential benefits. The amount of out-of-pocket assistance you are eligible for is based on income and is offered to those making between 100% to 250% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). CSR subsidies do not lower your premium like Advanced Premium Tax Credits, as they apply only to covered out-of-pocket costs.

wait until the poor realize the worthless tax credit they have to PAY BACK cuts into their "refund check"

it won't be pretty.. as many working poor families depend on these refund checks.

Traveler gonna get some packets sent off about him now.

To be clear, what traveler means by riot is: legal gathering and muttering government approved dissent and ending in praise for Barry's motives. Listen to npr on the way home.
