Not to mention, united Iraqi request to have the US withdraw.

They are finally abandoning PR for plans it appears but can't quite give up their beloved PR.

I agree that as more politicans up for election see the polls, they'll start changing their line.

Did you see Donald Rumsfeld on the talk shows Sunday? It was wierd. Nothing is his fault. It was like he was in a different time frame than the rest of us are.

In a quick move to put Democrats on the spot, the House voted to reject a quick military pullout in Iraq. The measure was defeated by 403-3.

What was pathetic is that the democrats didn't put their money where their mouth is. Since they really believe (so they say) that troops are occupying Iraq, then they should be principled enough to vote as such. Clearly that was expecting too much.

I agree that it was pathetic. But you are also correct that it was expecting too much. Hard for them to put their money where their mouth is when they are all mouth. And they get by with it. The liberal media gives them a pass. The American people even give them a pass.

Times have changed. And not for the better, unfortunately. I'm afraid that almost all of the old Democrats that even understood the meaning of principle are long gone. Don't get me wrong--I'm sure there's a few left. But for the most part, the modern Democrat only understands doing whatever it takes to win. Or to try to win. Or to make the other guy lose. Or even to make it appear that the other guy lost.

Yes, winning is all that matters to them. And the more defeats they suffer, the more vicious and rabid they become. No matter what it does to our Country. No matter to them. Nope. They could care less. Howard Dean, Michael Moore, Disagreeable, kolanuraven and other pacifist terrorist sympathizers like them are all prime examples. Just makes you sick. They should all be on the Al Quaeda payroll. If they're not already.

ROTFLMAO! Marty Meehan yelled pathetic at Congresswoman Schmidt when she called a Marine, wounded twice in service of his country a coward. Now, of course, the man who she said told her to do that said he didn't. She's apologized and said she never meant to call him a coward. And both of the liars are soooo upset that the media would make so much of this little incident. :lol: :lol: Pathetic is right!

In a quick move to stop Democratic Congressman Murtha's reasonable, well thoughtout out proposal from coming to the floor, the Republican leadership crafted their own cut and run proposal that they knew would not be approved. They had their backs to the wall. If they allowed Murtha's proposal to come up for a vote, many of their own membership would have voted for it. Except for the fact the Republican leadership in the House is playing politics with the lives of Americans, it's too funny for words!

Some Dems did vote for the proposal, even though they knew it was a sham. Some Republicans refused to vote because they knew it was a sham. Most Dems voted against it as a protest for not allowing Murtha's proposal to come to the floor.

And the best thing about this bomb that blew up in the Republican House Leadership's face is that the mainstream media reported the whole thing! Family here for Thanksgiving Day were grinning from ear to ear about the news and comments being made about how the Republicans refused to allow Murtha's proposal to come up for a vote!
