Good. We only got rain...
Wonder how everyone else made out.
We don't get local news here except on the radio;
our local news comes out of Minot, ND--thanks to our
satalite location.

How are things there?

We got .25.
I heard John Pulasky (meterologist from Billings) say the hail
stretched from Ashland to Reedpoint last night.
Thunderstorms are expected here again tonight; maybe severe
since it is to get 80 degrees today.

Stay safe, everyone.

its barely broke 50 the last nfew days. finally got moisture as rain this spring about 3 tenths. was moving a jag of gramma cows on tuesday morn - got done about 9:30 am and about 45 degrees with thunder clouds rolling in from east and there was a funnel cloud that formed just north of the house... never touched ground but was a weird sight none the less.... neighbor took pics, ill have to try and get them. crazy

We got a little bit of pea size hail and another.58" of rain last night. That gives us almost 4" in the last week It rained hard enough east of us to make the creeks run.

FH I just checked, we're in a tornado watch again tonight until 1AM. No storms showing on the radar yet.

Yep--- at least the watch stays south of the Missouri so misses us...But looks like a great chance we'll get more rain....

This morning the whole place was wet- but no rain- heavy fog...I spent the day moving cows across the road to the summer pasture as its very apparent by the water standing in the corrals that we won't brand and work calves this weekend.... Not really a big problem as the moisture is much more appreciated...

Only problem for the day was cutting out 3 of the neighbors yearling steers (which often before is 20-30)- which even after we ran them a 1/2 mile up the creek north in the pasture they should be -- were back walking our fenceline by the time we moved the cows thru two fences and across the highway...

An hour after I got back to town, I got a call from the Sheriffs Office of cows on the highway- and after they gave a description- I knew weren't ours, but instead those steers that had went thru 2 fences.....

If only yearling folks would learn to throw 20-30 old cull cows/calves out with their 2,000 head of yearling steers, I'm thourghly convinced they could make much more in gain- and a whole lot less in pain when the neighbors are having to take out 20-30-50-60 from their pastures/grain fields.... A few old cows in there- and instead of walking the fenceline- they go graze with the cows and lay down when they are full.....

Same here, horseless.
All we got last night was .25 of rain, but today was different.
80 degrees, very muggy.
We had a full-blown tornado when we lived in W. Montana.
500 cottonwood trees on the ground!! Took a calving barn
and our bunkhouse, the roof off the garage. The only
reason it didn't take the house is because I had windows open
on both sides of the house. It was a real mess!!!
And we've had one here too, a couple of years ago.
Took down an old concrete block building and windbreak.
Mr. FH says if it takes the windbreak down one more time,
he's not putting it back up!!!!!

I hope NO ONE gets a tornado...ever...

OT, I couldn't agree more. A few old cows really gentle those
yearlings down. They are nuts otherwise...or can go nuts
at the drop of a hat.
