AND THEN I REALIZED

our neighbors would gather on sat nite.
have ice cream and card parties and never fight.
AND THEN I REALIZED
our neighbors are now gone.either have passed on or moved to town.
they are now investers, some of which are not even citizens or know how to play cards.

the John Deere dealer was 10 miles down the road and seemed like part of the family, especially during harvest.
AND THEN I REALIZED
the nearest dealer is now 300 miles and i am just a number with more numbers.

i lost a farm, followed by machinery and livestock.
i have suffered a stroke, that has affected my health.
AND THEN I REALIZED
Who is in charge and Who those possessions belonged to.

i lost my father to a terrible cancer.and knowing the signs of
pain, weakness and chemo,i lost a fellow poster on Ranchers, who was loved by all and is greatly missed.
AND THEN I REALIZED
that poster was the same age as me almost to the month, and we had alot in common.

i reached down to pick up some fencing pliers, and found it to be an effort and struggle.
AND THEN I REALIZED
i could still stick my foot in my mouth, while posting on Ranchers with no effort and little pain.

this post can be continued or added to by fellow posters of the Ranchers family.have a happy new year.
