Another pic or two

Thought I would try a couple more pics. Just scenery, as I seldom carry my camera when moving cattle. Trees tend to be tough on cameras in saddle pockets and carrying it around my neck isn't too handy either.

Some more scenery from up high back in May before the grass is green and the aspens leafed out.

FH, the problem is that the coolest photo ops usually occur when my camera is at home! Why is it that wildlife is in a posing mood when there are no cameras handy?

Coyotes always know when there is no gun in your pickup, too.

Speaking of coyotes, I sent my dog on an outrun up the hill, around the yearlings yesterday, right past a den I didn't know was occupied, so the dog had mama coyote hot on his heels for half a mile. He found it hard to concentrate with her breathing down his neck!

We have problems with domesticated dogs runnin wild. Yesterday after about 4 hours on the tractor mowin, I got off and walked to where my truck was parked under a shade tree to get some ice water. Just as I got in and sat down, I looked up and there were two dogs comin from the tank, looked like they'd spent the mornin swimmin. Naturally I didn't have a gun with me. Normally I carry one, but I'd left the house without it. And both of them just kinda slowly trottin thru the pasture. Woulda been easy shots.

Now THAT would have been a picture!!!! Seems we don't carry a camera, we see wildlife, but if you carry it all the time you'll see abundant wildlife, but it's like shooting your first big buck...you also get the jitters

Thanks for sharing your pictures with us, I love seeing everyone else's turf :D :D :D
