Another utterly stupid Democrat

Last night Laura Ingram was sitting in for Bill OReilly and she had Erica Payne on and That is one stupid Democrat. She claimed the reason nothing is getting done in Washington is because the Tea Party members of Congress have no experience in economic issues and should not be in DC. and it was because of them that the US got a down grade in their credit rating. I guess she thinks it was because they were playing around during the debt ceiling talks and letting investors think the US was not going to pay their debts.

Was it not Senator Obama that claimed that the reason for a debt ceiling raise was because of lack of leadership when Bush was in office? and didn't he vote not to raise the debt ceiling under the Bush Administration? What does that say about Obama's experience as an elected Senator if she thinks the Tea Party members don't have the experience needed to be Congressmen?

He scolded Bush for taking out a credit card from the BANK OF CHINA and running up the debt but did he cut up that credit card when he took office NO HE RAN UP ANOTHER 6 TRILLION IN DEBT IN 4 YEARS. Could Obama and the Dems "Spend your way out of bankrupcy" attitude be the real reason for the Credit down grade and the reason TEA PARTY CONGRESSMEN WERE ELECTED TO GO TO DC? Could it be that the investors have seen absolutely no attempts to curb the spending and the running up of the national debt under Obama that lead to OBAMA'S DOWNGRADE? He has "INVESTED" more tax payer money than any other President in history and what has he "INVESTED" it in? Gee I think it was tatoo removal, turtle tunnels, pig stink studies, mouse habitat, and a whole lot of Bankrupt Green Energy Companies owned by his Campaign donors wasn't it?

And talking about Bush's leadership over Obama's. Bush protect US citizens for terrorist attacks for over 7 years. And what has Obama done besides giving the OK for the Navy Seals to act on intel gathered with a system set up by BUSH to take out Bin Laden, oh yea he passed Obamacare that robs $716 billion out of medicare further threatening the bankrupcy of that program used by the elderly. He has made sure his Campaign donors didn't lose their investments in the bankrupt Green Energy companies. He handed GMC over to the Union Bosses. AND he has played hundreds of Golf games, hosted hundreds of White House parties, attended hundreds of Campaign fund raisers and has taken his family on lavish vacations that he could only dream about if he didn't have the Tax payers funding said vacations. And during all this has he held a meeting with Beohnor, McConnell, Cantor, or Ryan the Head Republicans in DC NO. Has he passed a Budget? NO, as his own party voted to not support his proposed budgets. Has he even had a meeting with his Jobs Counsel NO or his Cabinet NO. and Why according to Trippie it is because Socializing is not Obama's way.

Oh and when Ms Payne was asked about the fact Obama has never had a substative meet with Republicans to fix the US problems according to Cantor, her comment was Cantor and Ryan haven't made any substative comments in a very long time. Was it not Ryan that managed to pass a budget through the House while Obama was NOT able to get his party to vote for his budget? So what does that say about Ryan's abilities over Obama's?

Ms Payne needs to pull her fangs in and look at the incompetent inexperience, golf playing, tax fund spending party boy she voted for before calling any Tea Party/ Republican too inexperienced to be in Washington DC.

The Democrat that ticks me off the quickest is Debbie Wasserman-Shultz. My GOD, as soon as I see her on TV I know the lies are coming, as she will say anything. She is one nasty woman.

Romney's Lying Machine
Posted: 08/24/2012 11:05 am

I've been struck by the baldness of Romney's repetitive lies about Obama -- that Obama ended the work requirement under welfare, for example, or that Obama's Affordable Care Act cuts $716 billion from Medicare benefits.

The mainstream media along with a half-dozen independent fact-checking organizations and sites have called Romney on these whoppers, but to no avail. He keeps making these assertions.

Every campaign is guilty of exaggerations, embellishments, distortions, and half-truths. But this is another thing altogether. I've been directly involved in seven presidential campaigns, and I don't recall a presidential candidate lying with such audacity, over and over again. Why does he do it, and how can he get away with it?

The obvious answer is such lies are effective. Polls show voters are starting to believe them, especially in swing states where they're being repeated constantly in media spots financed by Romney's super PAC or ancillary PACs and so-called "social welfare" organizations (political fronts disguised as charities, such as Karl Rove and the Koch brothers have set up).

Romney's lying machine is extraordinarily well financed. By August, according to Jane Mayer in her recent New Yorker article, at least 33 billionaires had each donated a quarter of a million dollars or more to groups aiming to defeat Obama -- with most of it flooding into attack ads in swing states.

In early August, "Americans for Prosperity," one of the nonprofit front groups masquerading as a charity, and founded in part by billionaire right-wingers Charles and David Koch, bought some $27 million in ad time on spots now airing in eleven swing states.

So Romney's lying machine is working.

But what does all this tell us about the man who is running this lying machine? (Or if Romney's not running it, what does it tell us about a man who would select the people who are?)

We knew he was a cypher -- that he'll say and do whatever is expedient, change positions like a chameleon, eschew any core principles.

Yet resorting to outright lies -- and organizing a presidential campaign around a series of lies -- reveals a whole new level of cynicism, a profound disdain for what remains of civility in public life, and a disrespect of the democratic process.

The question is whether someone who is willing to resort to such calculated lies, and build a campaign machine around them, can be worthy of the public's trust with the most powerful office in the world.

ROBERT B. REICH, Chancellor's Professor of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley, was Secretary of Labor in the Clinton administration. Time Magazine named him one of the ten most effective cabinet secretaries of the last century. He has written thirteen books, including the best sellers "Aftershock" and "The Work of Nations." His latest is an e-book, "Beyond Outrage." He is also a founding editor of the American Prospect magazine and chairman of Common Cause.
