doesn't much matter what obama does if the right continues to narrow its base. he'll be regarded as the lesser evil by more voters as long as rush, sarah and glenn are the mouthpieces of the right.

Which Party continues to narrow it's base?

If you are correct about the 3 people you mentioned being the mouthpieces, would support for the Repubs not be dropping?

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 44% would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate while 37% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent. Support for the candidates from both parties remains unchanged from last week.

QUESTION: In the 2010 Congressional elections will you definitely vote, probably vote, not likely vote, or definitely will not vote?

The results were, to put it mildly, shocking:

Voter Intensity: Definitely + Probably Voting/Not Likely + Not Voting

Republican Voters: 81/14
Independent Voters: 65/23
DEMOCRATIC VOTERS: 56/40

Two in five Democratic voters either consider themselves unlikely to vote at this point in time, or have already made the firm decision to remove themselves from the 2010 electorate pool. Indeed, Democrats were three times more likely to say that they will "definitely not vote" in 2010 than are Republicans.

so who is leading the right?

we don't need a leader.. we have values and can act and think independently with out supervision..
Conservatives follow principles...Rush, Sarah and Glenn articulate those principles. The Republican party fell from power when the party leadership abandoned those principles...in the name of a "bigger tent". Conservatives will take back control of the Republican party and the Government because we will only support politicians that follow the principles in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

It is corrupt politicians in all of government that are destroying OUR country! It is time to hold them accountable, kick them out of office, and put them in jail. We do not elect a "ruling class"...time to run the "money changers" out of Washington!

Heck the Clintons made Rush. Obama is worse than the Clintons were.

Look what Obama has achieved his first year.

We had two terms of Bush after Rush bashed the Clintons. Don, are you saying Rush was responsible for Dubya getting elected twice?

Are we going to flail with health care another year? The Clintons tried that and it didn't work. They finally gave up in realization that America didn't want it. Obama didn't learn from that. We may flail with this for 3 more years.

I don't need to be led to a slaughter. I simply need a good person to vote for. I actually voted for a dem on the local level last election. I always supported Stenholm locally and he stepped across party lines on items such as the Brady Bill.

Obama is a loser who has learned nothing from Carter's flailings nor Clinton's flailings. No president has ever worked harder than Carter did in my opinion but he chased the wrong causes.

all i'm saying is that by moving further to the right you narrow your base of support and in order to attract voters you will need to attract support and you will need someone who can articulate the platform of the right in a way to get votes. i guess you can be dogmatic or pragmatic.

Maybe a black republican candidate? That would split the 97% black ("non-racist")support Obama currently has. Colin aint running. Who else may you suggest?

Wrong.

By the time elections roll around, the country is going to want to get as far away from this radically left administration as they can.

The further to the right (the further away from the left), the better.

I don't think so Denny there will come a point to the right of diminishing returns. The same holds true for the left, imo.

a leader with values and principles will attract more voters then a politicain with a long record of failing the voters.. no matter which side they are on...

so far since the 08 election, I have yet to see a conservative leader emerge that can lead and gather that support..

Palin can gather a crowd.. but I doubt she has the followthru to get nominated. but she is ahead right now... so the left keeps attacking..
