Turning a country COMPLETELY socialist takes some time. Maybe he'll have wore out his welcome by 2012. Until then, I'll just have to be happy. :D

well boy george has made a good start at making the usa socialist by nationalizing the financial sector. that's been the engine of your economy. myt you might want to visit a socialist country some day and see if you know what you're talking about.

I'm thinking we're going to see a repeat of the Obama vs. H. Clinton rematch for Dem nomination. Although Hillary will have a harder time beating the incumbent.

What has been done to the "Financial Sector" has nothing to do with "Socialism", per se.

Now THIS is "Socialism":

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez's government will take over and nationalize La Cristinas, the biggest gold mine in the country owned by Canada's Crystallex, Mining Minister Rodolfo Sanz said Wednesday.
The move is part of leftist Chavez's socialist agenda that calls for nationalizing Venezuela's natural resources. Over the past year, he has taken over the electricity, oil, steelmaking, cement and telephone enterprises

"This mine will be seized and managed by a state administration," Sanz said in a statement.

The Cristinas mine, located in southeastern Bolivar state, is estimated to hold 16.9 million ounces of gold, in proven and potential reserves of the precious metal, according to Crystallex data.

Since the start of the year, Venezuela has been withholding environmental permits that allow private companies to extract gold, in lieu of a law that will establish joint ventures with foreign companies with majority stakes by the Venezuelan state.

Well, sir,
I can't say Communism because Socialism is the realization of communism. On the other hand, I respect your view as you live in Canada and undoubtedly have some experience with the system. But I have a very good idea of the mess the system creates.

maybe if you actually saw something you would realize all economies are a mixture of systems (including yours) and it is the degree to which any system is adopted that determines the relative tendency to capitalism or socialism in any one country. your farm bill is very socialistic.

Kolo, after thinking about it, it any gettin' you or I anywhere to row and row.I can't change your mind, and you won't be changing mine. I guess I'm gonna quit picking on you. I guess if you really want to pick on me, go ahead. Hope it makes you feel better. I realized that even though you ain't right on certain things, it doesn't mean I have to blow up and try to make you see my way. For now, you will be in my prayers. God does work miracles, and maybe, just maybe, you'll have a change of heart. A very good day to you.

I think it will be Obama and Hillary again trying to fight for the democratic position. As far as republican who knows maybe Huckabee will try again?

I look for Huckabee and Romney to both make another run. I honestly don't think we'll see Palin in the mix, but who knows?

On the Democratic side, it just depends. If Obama is popular, I doubt if anyone will challenge him. If he's not, Hillary might make another run, and maybe some others.

A lot can happen in four years. Who could have forseen Obama winning it all four years ago? Maybe McCain will make another run. He'll only be 76.

I think this was McCains last chance from watching various news reports and the man went out with class.

Oh I don't know if Palin gets wind of Ranchers.net and sees all her crushes she may be up to running again.

I kind of agree! I know they are already talking about the Republican Governor from Louisiana.

If I was Palin I would serve two terms in Alaska and or Run for Senate before thinking about President.
