A cousin of mine got into Pieds, and was all excited. Even took some to Denver. About 6 years later, I never see a Pied on the place, and he never tells the story. I never ask, but am plenty curious?????????

i would really like to know myself about your cousins experience with pieds.he might help me to avoid some problems.i sure aint never too proud to listen and learn.

Had a neighbor that tried another double muscled breed Belgian Blues. Bulls were never hard to find as they didn't get more then fifty yards from the water.

Heat isn't often a problem up here, I just wonder how they can handle the cold. I'm sure they would do fine with a barn, but could they thrive with a windbreak and some trees during a blizzard on all grass (hay)? I really have no clue, I'm just curious.

all of my original pieds came from wisconsin which gets pretty cold.i live n ks and have not had any trouble with them keeping up n the cold, although today i had a 10 yr old with a prolapsed cervix so we had the vet put it back n and stitch her up.now she has to b watched real close so the stitches can b cut when she goes into labor, that should b anyday.hopefully we get a healthy calf and let her wean it and cull her.got 2 of her calves n the herd and they have both calved every time without problem so will most likely keep them.i know prolapse can b hereditary but i kinda think this 10 yr old cow is just wearing out and it is her time.
