No, we won't be going, hubby has a men's retreat this Saturday and cowboy poetry at the Bowering on Sunday. Besides we got cattle to take care of. Maybe some year when we are rich and famous     :!:

I gave myself a trip to Denver as a graduation present two years ago. Looks like the next time I get to go will be another graduation trip... or so I hope in 2008!!! I have been very jealous of the boys that have gone down south this last week especially today and tomorrow with the angus shows, saturday carloads is a good day to! I enjoyed Denver very much --had a little too much jim beam and JD but met lots of people. I do agree with NR though, good to see a different show but Agribition is a little more appealing to me. Everyone gets to see the cattle no matter what day you go!

But definitely looking forward to 2008!

Man I went once and it was a funnnn time-I got separated from my ride and had to live off the land for a couple days-when I finally found them I was down to 7 bucks lol. There were more cattle there but not as good on the average as you'll see at Agribition-lots of tallow and stumpy little steer bulls lol.
7 dollars is alot more money than some of them leave with.

A squeeze chute that can withstand our crazy kids. We want a hydraluc Silencer, but know that is out of the budget. We are planning on AI'ing all the girls to Houdini this spring. So gotta get a chute. And we tired of risking our lives doctoring cows tied behind a gate...it's just not worth it.

Good for you bucking off a Coloradran, some of them can be pretty sticky. We may even get a PBR World Champ this year. We've been watching Kody Lostroh and Josh Koshell ride since they were young (well younger). It's nice to see them at the big time, those boys can ride!

Ohh these weren't the hands those boys are foe sure-just a thought for you-have you ever thought of using a buffalo chute for bucking tock-they have a crash gate in front so you can catch horned cattle in them pretty easy-also are sheeted in so they'd stay quite a bit calmer-I'm thinking of getting one for myself.

Never have thought about a Buffalo Chute. But sounds like it would work well. We'll check it out. We've been told that if we ever move we should market our place to buffalo guys, so it would be fitting to have the chute too.

Made it home from Denver yesterday. I got to meet Mr. and Mrs Turkey Track Bar briefly. They are very nice folks. The red angus sale was a barn burner. The high selling lot was a Tommy Coley bull called Molito . He brought 77,500.00. The heifers if I remember averaged 6800 on 43 lots. (could have been 6300 or 48 lots). Got to see old friends , meet new friends and see good cattle. It was lots of fun.
