Something for you good patriotiotic free trading GW lovers to chew on--tonight on O'Reilly they ran a segment on all these free trader supposedly Patriotic US companies that are going around the Bush sanctions to trade with many of the countries that are considered "terrorist sponsoring"and that we have sanctions against- like Syria, Sudan, Iran, etc.....

Some of these upstanding US companies they named that are openly going around GW's trade sanctions and trading with them for the almighty buck are: Coke, Pepsi, Ford, Polaroid, and Goodyear....

GW and his bunch thinks they are too evil to even talk to--but the countries Corporate CEO's are actively trading and selling them whatever they want in the name of the almighty dollar   :( :(

And GW will not do anything to interfer with their profiteering- which just makes a farce out of these sanctions and GW's fearmongering policy....Just like the Mexican border- and his refusal to do anything about the illegal invaders- Bucks in his elitist buddies pockets come first over the countries security...... :( :( :(

Kind of like the worlds Bankers during WWII- that dealt with the Nazis all the way thru the war- even banking the gold melted down from the deathcamps victims teeth.... :( :(

I haven't seen anything thats shown me it was happening under the Obama administration- or still happening...

Many countries have joined into the sanctions- including Arab nations... I have no idea how any President can stop China from doing what it wants to... :???:

One of the places I agree with Paul- we need to quit being the "policeman of the world"... Time for some of the rest of the world to step up...

Even with all the new Obama mandated and Congressional bill defense budget cuts- the US Defense Budget is more than ALL the next 10 Countries of the Worlds Defense Budgets COMBINED !!

With the current economic problems and fallout from the Bush Bust- that money could go far to rebuild the economy and infrastructure of our own country... The $3 Trillion dollar bill we got when we invaded Iraq could have gone a long ways toward that....

Maybe Canada should step up and pick up a bigger load of policing the free world... :???:  Lot of countries of the world are riding on the US shirttails- and I have to agree with Obama that more of this needs to be picked up by allied countries and not by us alone...

The New York Times published on Christmas Eve a story exposing nearly 300 US companies that hold special export licenses allowing them to do “billions of dollars in business with Iran and other countries blacklisted as state sponsors of terrorism.”

The companies include such household names as Pepsi, General Electric and Bank of America. The countries include such international pariahs as Sudan, Burma, North Korea and Zimbabwe.

Update January 6, 2011: In addition to the companies below, which received at least five special export licenses, the Times highlighted some exemptions granted to other companies as examples. That second list also includes a number of defense contractors, including World Fuel Services Corporation, Raytheon Company, Louis Berger Group, Samco Global Arms Inc., FMC Technologies and Bell Helicopter Textron.

wow nothing changed in DC.. I guess Obama doesn't want to alienate his big donors..

the link for the list...

http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2010/12/24/world/24-sanctions.html?ref=world

many of the banks bailed out are on the list.. (as well as the usual global oil corporations )
Bank of America
Bank of New York Mellon
Citigroup Inc.
JP Morgan Chase

one of those thanks for the bailout, now sign my exemption so I can do business with your enemies.. :???: :?
