Ranchers.net
Yesterday the wind howled for most of the day. In the late afternoon, a thunderstorm went through dropping three tenths of an inch of welcome rain.
There was some very sharp lightning which knocked out our internet for nearly 24 hours, and also started a bale pile on fire.
We saw the hay smoking, and Kosmo and I arrived in time.
We pulled bales out of the pile from both ends with the use of Hydra-beds on pickups, getting all the unburned bales out of the way.
Fortunately only one bale burned out of the deal, so our cows lucked out.
