They came into the ring from three to five at a time. You could buy one or as many as you wanted, until all in the ring were sold.

About fifteen Red Angus and red composites were also offered and sold.

A very nice set of black yearling heifers was also offered. A bid out in the yards was for $1075 per head, so any bidders
ringside had to beat that bid.

94 head of these fine heifers averaged weighing 834 pounds, and they brought $1100 per head. It is nice to see the optimism
in the cattle business at this time. :)
Afterthecattlehadbeenrunthrough.jpg

After the cattle had been run through, 20 head of ranch geldings were sold through the ring.

The Black Ranches Nine Iron sale is a fun spring event. The hospitality and food can't be beat. I thank Butch and Peggy Black

Great pics...
Green sawdust- or carpet- or whatever??? Looks like a lot of promotion, commotion, emotion to sell a bull/horse.... Must make them almighty good....

Is this the Black Ranches that were partnered up with Leachman ?
