Lol,this is quite humorous. In Alberta woman are paid fair enough.because I work in health we're run by a Union, actually a good Unioun at that, yup know its hard to believe but look up A.U.P.E,it will tell you the things its done for its members...from having decent roads built for workers driving on them to setting up a trust fund for a little girl whos daddy murdered her preg mommy...a nurse with our union. Our wages, benefits and pension plans are all fought for by the union.

Alot of what Judith says is true, really my family trumps my job as it should so I truly don't think working moms are as dedicated to thier jobs as the men are. I can truly say I never used 'THAT"as an excuse for missing work...a childs track meet yup

Should not a man's family trump his job too? Just because your a mom does not deam you a bad employee....It is sad that men are expected to not care about track meets and such....Why can't both family finical intrests be covered by both husband and wife as well as important family activities.
Oh trust me NN I'm not nor never was a bad employee....greg makes way more money then I do and can't change shifts like I can...we BOTH were excellent parents as far as are kids tell us,you need to lighten up take some time off, cause NR was right this post is MOSTLY tounge in cheek....GAWDDD

Although greg agreed with Jigs and Nr about the skirts ,big boobs and voting...I love that man

Oh and by the way NN,my 23 year old daughter is a welder, gets paid the same as the men she works with, she works hard and puts a 100 percent inti it....just as I know she will if ever she becomes a mom.

Mrs..Greg,First of all I never even mentioned your parenting skills good or bad,I am sure you were and still are awesome parents/Grandparents.I also never claimed you to be a bad employee. As far as it being tongue and cheek ,I guess you missed my laugh after I mentioned girls taking spots from guys in university.I thought that was so ridiculous it was funny,I guess you missed the humor there,so lighting up may be good advice to yourself.I did see the humor in NR's post.

Mrs. Greg From what I have seen here Mr. Greg seems to be a fine upstanding man and I have no issues what so ever with him.Your daughter should be paid the same as the men she works with, that was my point, not sure why you are on me about this? I wish her well and good luck in whatever endeavors she chooses in life...You seem to always come at me here in the public forum...I find either your stating stuff to me just to say it or your defending yourself to me when I never even said anything about you that needed to be defended. My last post was only just an open question,I never claimed it to be about you.Next time I won't use the word YOUR with the intent on it meaning the masses....Mrs.Greg maybe that is why you took it personal. Also I wont reply in your thread anymore, I will start a new one from now on..I never meant any dissrespect to anyone in this forum....

Will you people who have daughters send them to University to get a degree if they so desire?.....If so why? All it will do is give them a taste of adventure and they may want to make something of themselves one day. Also they are taking spots away from males trying to get into university,lol...It is sad to to see so many give up on women over strength..I Have seen many women out work men in physical demanding jobs before...It is not always just strength but attitude too, there are many lazy men out there stealing wages from companies ..If she wants to be a house wife that is fine but as far as paying people equally why not? If they cannot do the job either male or female, let them go.Would you keep a useless worker just because he is male? How many jobs left out there that require strength of only a man? All people should be judged on production and effort, without both, neither man or women will be of much use to any employer,no matter their wage.
It is so sad that they have no choice but to resort to making lesbian porn for perverts.

I feel there are two types of women. those who know and appreciate their role in life, And those who want to be men. A woman is NOT a man, so why do they deserve the same pay? If they can do the job as well, then pay them. if they do not like being under payed, then go home and raise a family like they are meant to do. watching this unfold leads me to the conclusion that some of these femi-nazi's will never be happy until they get their very own twig and berries!

Would you like to step out of the 1950's and join us in 2007???

why not have everyone else step back into 1950 and we can solve half the problems with todays society? I am not going to hold back my daughters from any of their dreams, but I will instill in them the knowledge that they are women, not men. there is a profound difference, and one which is trying to be forgotten these days.....woman was made FOR man with out man woman has no direction, no reason for being, and with out woman a man has no drive, or heading in life. the two work hand in hand to survive this life, but only one can lead, and that is man. This is interpreted as a dictatorship to some, but it is not. a REAL man leads by example, and always has his womans (and family's) needs to guide his direction, but still runs the home .

this is how it was for years, now we are a society of perversion where the gender roles have been stripped, and the courts are full of sexual harassment cases, women reporters offended doing reports from the locker room (hello!!! locker rooms are full of naked guys! what the hell did she expect?)

should my daughter go to school, become a top exec at some big corp. , I will be very proud..... but if she is a good wife and mother, I will ten times as proud because I will know I raised her to appreciate her role in life. the role GOD wanted her to play.

If God wanted all of us women to stay home pregnant and barefoot then why is it so hard in the modern society to make it on a one person's income and raise a family?

Don't go on about my boat or new dodge for I have neither. Why I went back to work is partially due to rising costs of health insurance. A neccesity in today's modern world.

my wife has a part time job also, because of the difficulties to make ends meet, however, I am a firm believer that when moms went to wrk, the kids behavior went to hell! and you can tell a HUGE difference in kids that have a parent home with them most of the time......

I have mixed feelings on this one.....
Being brought up in a mans world, I sometimes think that woman have to do the same work as a man faster, prettier, cleaner and be able to take a bunch of guff...
My dad packed diapers in his saddlebags for me as a kid... And as I got older I went with my dad alot. My mom and I didn't get along vary well.
And my best friends and mentors where all men except Evelyne Brennaman and Carolyn Wells.......
IF I had a daughter, I'm not sure I would want her to work outside driving tractors and cattle work....
I don't know about this one...

it's all about choices.

to put my child through private school, I gave up having a new car...

To allow my Wife to stay home with my child....we gave up things...and in turn had a great child...

My son is now at a great university....so again we are giving up "things"...

do Families need all these things???

do we need a cell phone....several TVs,.. a new car???

when we first were married we had little at all and it all fit in an old van I bought...I never made it from one payday to the next until a few years ago...and then it was because of our LORD's Blessings that set me ahead..

I worked hard,..but still spent time with my family...and was blessed well for doing what I believed was right.

sure some families don't have two cents,.. but they have each other...and in the long run that is worth more then any money could ever be.

We never seemed to have any extra....but never seemed to want for anything....so yes, hard work and trust in the LORD. works.

But any time my wife ever worked it was because she wanted to,..not because she had to...

she now works two days a week for a doctor....and volenteers a day a week at a shelter....and I like her to have "something to do" that she wants...but hopefully when our next generation comes along we can help our children raise thier children....and that they take the time to do the same..

My dad packed diapers in his saddlebags for me as a kid.

I remember when "all the liberals" were saying that men needed to help at home more..

Dad's were always raising kids....they just did it their way...

Because God did not create modern society, man and mans wants brought us to the point we are. Many years ago man deviated from the intention God had for us. So do not blame god for high gas prices, food or rent.

But it is a Christians job to try to regain as much of the original intent that God had originated for us, despite the way man has screwed it up.

At one time Satan offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world from a mountain top (not an exact quote). In doing so it showed that it was his to give. Satan has screwed things up in this System and Christians have to fight hard to rise above it.

That might mean living in a Tent if that is best you can do, god only promises to feed you and give you no tribulation tougher than you can handle. He does not promise you Pizza Hut on Friday night and enough money for rent on Monday.

The big picture here is not rather a wife has to work, or not work. Bible even says the wife might need to help the husband with providing for the family, but it for sure lays out her responsibility of taking care of the children and home.

The big picture is that wife/Woman and Men/Husbands realize their responsibilities to the family and accept them. My wife works and helps provide for the family, but if the crap hits the fan I have to realize that is on my back and her first and primary concern is to take care of the house and children. If my kids are lacking then I might have to take on two jobs, her responsibilities have to come first, not only if she has time after working.

I would think that a partnership of raising the children and taking care of the home would be the best interest of the children. :???:

Where does the bible lay out the responsibility for taking care of the children and home? All that comes to my mind is Lois, Eunice and Lydia but they don't seem to fit that statement. Thanks for your help.

Proverbs 31:10-31 is a good description of it. I believe there is some other select spots throughout out the bible. If they come to mind I will post them.
