:???: Hang on just a minute :? ........did I read this right?

"Normally, the images are transmitted with sound that does not allow reporters to pick out individual comments. But in this case a microphone picked up Bush's comments to Blair.
"

Now kola you said "microphones that you KNOW are on", but judging by the quote from your CNN source it sounds to me like he didn't KNOW he was going to be heard and how was it that in this particular instance the reporters were able to "pick out individual comments" when your article specifically states the opposite? Maybe a bias?

But hey your absolutly right kola, it's WHERE, there is a time and place and given the fact he was before a Group of Eight leaders and not in front of an elementary school makes a difference. I'm sure those "leaders" have used the same language, butt I understand your point don't get me wrong.

What I don't understand is why you think this was worthy of discussion, except for the pure enjoyment of slamming President Bush once again.

Oh...such a diplomat!!!

I asked earlier in the thread without a response so I'll try again..... :?

If you admittidly speak this way in your everyday life why post it on here criticizing President Bush for it? A bit hypocritical don't you think? Or was it just another opportunity to slam President Bush?

still waiting................

ok,fair enough,it was a cuss word, really no biggie, but like KOL says its that fact that it happened that should be the concern....What if they were talking about something more relevant to home security.or that they secrectly knew bin ladins where abouts......Sure the word s__t should not be the focus here.My thought is the focus should be on the event that took place....Both those leaders should know better or at least thier aids should.....

No Pres will be percfect,If you start scruntinizing the postion to much,it becomes more about the person then the job they are doing...I think Clinton did his share of good things as a President, but he gets roasted alot here.

As far as the cuss word story goes.I hope the reporter does not get called a traitor for this.Or he may have to call the NY times lawyer for help :)

In the interest of good US relations I wont say what the microphones picked up from liberal MPs in Ottawa but im sure you know what im talking about

Too bad we couldn't have the standard set by Ronald R. It has been understood that if he was to meet with someone, he wouldn't even do it with shirt and tie............he had to put his jacket on first. I remeber when the local school board met and they all wore suits, now you will find some that show up in sweat pants.
Those of us who are not blinded by hate know what you mean PT.

Ronald Reagan wore his jacket out of respect for his visitor.

Don Gotti wore a suit to be cool!

Big difference. Sheeeeeeesh. These idiots on here.

Actually I don't hate anyone, your the one with the red face, a suit doesn't make one cool or respectful a person can be cool and respectful no matter what clothing he wears. Wearing a suit means nothing, you keep trying to elavate people who wear suits as if it means something.

In the 1950's the suit was worn by all men to church or formal events...The mob suit was a sign of money and respect with in that circle of men......I think suits are over rated,if you ever had to wear one evryday for your job,you would understand why things have change..I think the mind makes the man,not the suit.....Plus lots complain about the costs of things here,go out and buy a GOOD suit...you will be glad that jeans and a new button up shirt are still acceptable by most people...

I think suits are over rated,if you ever had to wear one evryday for your job,you would understand why things have change

That's ironic, the 40 yr old down working for min wage at the McDonalds with the tattoos, driving the 76 Chevette agrees with you. He thinks appearance is highly over rated

I think it's worthy because it shows that bush does not think before he opens his mouth. He does not survey his surroundings. This isn't the first time this has happend to him.

Back when he was with Cheney...I forgot where....he called some reporter an a--hole and he was on an open mic. OK OK....yes some reporters are a-holes....but look around and see who's listening.

Cowboy talk sounds good but bush himself said that the wished he never said " bring it on" in regards ot Iraq..... so you'd think he'd learn!

Now BBJ...have patience with me today if I don't answer you RIGHT back...I got big ' doings' going on today.....

So you are one of those that are calculated? Always surveying your surroundings to see who is watching/listening and who you can impress. Kind of like billary....every move is planned..... every statement rehearsed...... worried more about putting on a face instead of being yourself. :?

Well it's like I said, he is human and this proves he is more like you and I instead of the politicians. If he would have really let it fly and said something vulgar then I would be upset but you can hear words like he used while watching primetime tv. Why don't you go after the shows our youth are watching. I bet there are more watching HBO than there were the G8 summit or where ever the He$# they were. OOPS, see there I used a naughty word too. Hope you don't think less of me now. :) :)

Darh-ling......you PAY to watch HBO in your own home....in yer drawers with a beer.... BIG difference between that and the G8 meeting of the strongest , most powerful leaders in the WORLD!

And..ya know what.. I am a calculated person. Can't help it...just the way I am. I do admit I overplan and survey things to death at times. I am no fan of surprises or " things that track you home".....my business has taught me this and so far...so good....no major embarassements!!!

I don,t actively TRY to impress, i consider that a waste of time.....I think if you're organized, behaved and well cultured you will impress people with that alone....it will take no effort on your part.

Those asumptions will the ruination of you let me tell you. I just love when you guys come up with an assumption to fit how you want us to fit into your little mold. Nope, doesn't work that way.

I judge a person by what he does, even more than what he says. Reading between the lines, so to speak.

i was impressed by the way an old girlfriend dressed didn't make it any more respectable
but sure was a sight to see.
wasn't impressed by a bunch of girls at hooters, making themselves look cheap

more impressed by the way a person presents him/herself than the clothes they wear. nose rings super pierced ears belly button rings studs in the tounge! NOT IMPRESIVE and won't work for me!
MAKE your statement someplace else, do not care how good of a worker you are, if i lose ! customer because you look like someone out of a sci fi book bye bye

I for one stand behind Bush. Not on every issue of course but had Clinton done his job and dealt with this mess properly things would be different. Casualties in this war are very small considering who we are dealing with. Back in the old days you lost 50,000 soldiers per DAY. Losses were horrible. I am not saying that the loss of life is not a terrible tragedy it is. War is not pretty. That's for sure. Sad no matter how you look at it . Yes I do have family members serving over there. They are proud to be there and proud to be defending our country.

So "Man With No Original Thoughts Of His Own",otherwise known as Passing Thru (my opininon of course)....Your telling the people of ranchers you do not judge people by who they are and what they do? As far as I can see by the many threads you write..You disslike ALL dem's no matter what kinda persons they are....and you live off of others words....again my opinion, but I am just reading between the lines so to speak
