This glacier tour reminds me of one I took as a kid, right here in Alberta. Probably 30 years ago.
We too were invited to taste the "pure" water. It was fresh for sure.
As we stood there in the sunshine, the tour guide explained that because the Glacier was formed over many years, and during a time of extreme cold, that as long as the temperature was above the temperature that formed the glacier, that it would continue to melt.
They didn't figure the glacier would be there in 40 years.
They still give the tours, I should go on one and check out what's left of it.
