At least there were no skeeters on our morning ride!

I thought the Calendar said May 29.

There are horses out there some where.

Oh my!!! That can't have been much fun!

Nice shots, tho. I'd like to have that last one framed
and on my wall...also the one of the barn. I'd especially
like it in July and August.

That mucky road looks familiar. :p

Love the pic of the paint, a snowy pony..

At least the crops and pastures will be happy when we get some real heat soon.

I like that one of the calves in the buck brush. It's going to be nice today with sunshine by the afternoon, I hope.

Great photos, Dylan. Pictures say so much, and yours are telling quite a story for this end of May morning. The second one with the two little calves snuggled under the bushes is cute and noteworthy, but the last Snow Pony picture is outstanding. It could easily win a contest somewhere sometime, and definitely needs to be shown to a wider audience than just the folks on Ranchers.Net.

I would trade weather with you mighty quick, all we have around here are weeds and allergies.
good luck

Things settled down today a fair bit, wind pretty well gone and just a few spits of rain every now and then, still very cloudy and overcast but did see the sun for one brief moment.

Hay Maker, who has the allergies? Hope you get some relief soon. I don't think you want snow but you never know, maybe it would be just what the doctor ordered.

Thanks Soap. :)

About the wider audience if you have any suggestions let me know.

Better enjoy the absence of mosquitoes while you can. Anywhere the wind wasn't blowing today had the little buggers swarming. :x

I was hoping the cold and snow killed all the little buggers for this year.

My purple martins disappeared when the snow came and so did my house wrens.. I sure hope they come back as it will be a crappy summer without them. Hummingbirds are still around and a group of Orioles flew in this afternoon.

Snow is pretty much gone too here as well, thankfully.

BMR, they were bad here before the weather change, so it has been quite a relief, with all this current moisture we will be in for another good bout for sure. Oh well I would rather deal with skeeters than hoppers. Skeeters this time of year mean we might just get a hay crop. :)

Speaking of 'hoppers, I wonder what all this cold, wet weather will
do to them? I can hope, but I really don't know. Another shower
just rolled through here...and it's been chilly all day...

If they haven't hatched yet it won't have any effect.

If they have hatched and they get enough of a stretch of cool wet weather it will kill them off.

another great set of pictures, Dylan. snow on the ground with green leaves on the trees makes for some neat pictures, but much neater when it is not here.

Justin, Thanks!

I know, it's crazy to see that color combination. I have seen snow in every month of the year in this country, but never this much, this late. It all melted by the end of the day. Got a bit more rain today. :D :D
