I'd like to use your picture of the striped Clamatis as my screen saver.
Do you know how I can do that?

Awesome flowers...just awesome. We don't EVER see flowers like that.

Thank you for the compliment. For some reason I didn't notice this
post from Saturday.
Did it work as a screen saver?
Here's a question: What does everyone have for a screensaver picture?
Mine is a California sidewheeler from the 1850s.

Mine was Soapweeds windmill for a long time. Then I hit something and it
was replaced with one of our horses. And now it is Magoo, the Siamese cat hanging off the couch on his back.

picture my husband took near Lisbon, Portugal. It's so awesome (and looks so much like N. California), that I will post in a minute...

It's up for anyone who wants to see a breathtaking picture and landscape.

That is pretty. You could have said it was elsewhere and I'd have believed you. It makes me think all the earth's land masses must have been joined at one time because you could say that photo with that type vegetation and rocks also might have been taken in Greece, Italy, the Bahamas and other islands, some places along the Atlantic coastline, Canada, Scotland, and probably other places. What we have here is
a beautiful world!

It is so similar to my hometown and Pt. Reyes National Seashore in Northern California that I could not believe my eyes. Down to the awful ice plants that have driven out all the native vegetation along the Pacific Ocean.

It makes a superb screen saver and of course the fact that I have been there with my husband on our last vacation together (a great vacation regardless) makes it special.

Ice plants! That's what I couldn't remember. I'm fast reaching the point of
having forgotten at least half of what I ever knew

I have a pic that I took of k_ranch and all the kids last year on his b-day. They are all tan and happy and being goofy. I love it.
