Baby calves of course :p

First calvers and AI cows started two weeks ago, only 11 heifers left :) The rest are due to start tomorrow. Still have about a foot of really hard snow but the weather is really quite nice.

A 14 year old cow that I wish we could clone! This is not an easy country for old cows.

Nicky, you got good looking cows and calves, things look really good there.Things must be a little more manageable with this somewhat mild winter. At least it's mild here,55 today.Good luck with your calving.

You've been very busy! I hope we get good, healthy calves like you. I don't blame you for wanting to clone your 14 year old cow, she looks to be hanging in there well :D .

Today was nice here, and I'm starting to get "calving fever". My cows have changed a bunch over the past few days, and I'm enjoying the last few nights of ten hour sleep while I can :D .

Happy calving!

Nicky, loved the pics! I miss my hereford babies! I sure liked the young cow with the two calves (not both hers), that's a pretty distinct mark in the middle of her forehead.

As far as Herefords are concerned, if I had some new calves by Ned Jr.'s bulls, I'd be pretty excited. Thanks for sharing the great pics.
