Shoers cousin was expecting her first baby at 38 the middle of May. Well 4 days ago she had Maddison James. I thought I had plenty of time to get the quilt done. This is just the top will be doing the quilting this next week and in the mail ASAP.
Its hard to see the shiny pink marble fabric but it is VERY pink

Very nice. My sister is a quilter and I appreciate the hours put into a quilt.
Can't imagine being a parent to a new baby at 38 though, Our youngest boy was in the 9th grade when I was that age.

gcreek I can't imagine having kids as young as you must have been, no way in the world I would have been ready for kids, my 25 HS reunion is next yr and one of my classmates is already a grandma  , but too each his own I guess!

My motto was...have em while I was young n stupid n didn't know any better....LOL Then.....that way they are grown while we are still young enuff to go enjoy stuff. I was 39 when my youngest was in the 9th grade......first one was born when I was 20.

Quilts are a wonderful gift...no matter what the occasion.

We had ours early and then we all grew up together. :D

If we had been thinking a bit we would have waited and built a nest egg first, but no regrets.

They have been trying for a few years to have one so they are very excited. Since Maddison is only 3 pounds she still has a bit more time in the hospital before she can go home.

I had my oldest at 21 and youngest at 31. Way too old for babies now LOL
yanuck shoer is hearing about his 25th class reunion for next year as well. Mine will be 30 next year uugggggg.

Unless Shoer's been tellin me stories for the last 10 years....his 25th class reunion won't be until 2011. LOL I'mma hafta call him out on this deal!!!!

My 25th should be this year...but since we didn't have a 20th...I doubt we'll have a 25th. That's ok tho......Silver Anniversary is comin up this year.

Very nice quilt. It's a hobby I hope to one day explore. Right now I'm to into scrapbooking and glass work. It's on my list though. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
