We have an acre in hay right behind the house. Out here on the desert every acre you can water counts. And we have been having nightly visits by a batchelor group of bucks as they leave the cover out west of us and head for the big hayfeilds in town. They were pretty tame, but the archery hunters have them on point now.

The horses have learned they arent boogeymen. When they first showed up my mare would blow for a half an hour.

Hangin' around the clothes hanger.

Nothing huge but nice young deer.

My brother has a pup and they cut between our places to avoid the dog.

Up and over and into the horse run.

Posing for the camera.

And away they went!
