Thanks FH.
I had the woolies ordered for a while and finally got to pick them up the other day. They are built in the batwing style rather than the pull-on. I never could see how those oldtime hands got those on with all of their winter clothes.
The bible cover is one of my favorites. I traded the beadwork off of a guy who grew up on the Pine Ridge Res. He had originally made that to go over a checkbook, but I got it before he put it on anything. Once I got it I was able to have it incorporated into the cover.
The canteen has seen more than its fair share of use. It along with the bible always goes with me when I'm dayworking somewhere for a few days. Its nice to have in camp. I've had a few of these made with initials or brands and given away as presents.
The last two pics are my shotguns. We went thru several books that depicted old gear and took parts of several different chaps and put into these. The conchas are sterling silver stars overlaid on black steel. The button on the pocket is rolled leather. The last pic is of my first brand laced into the cuff.
The guy who built all of this is Justin Bieshuvel of Gillette, Wy. He has done a lot of one of a kind work for me and I'm very pleased. In addition to the above items, I also have a wade saddle, chinks, halters, hobbles and headstalls built by the same guy. He does exceptional work at prices even a cowboy or poor rancher can afford. Just to give you an idea of his prices, the woolies were only $550. I saw some at the Blackhills Stockshow that weren't near as nice or even built correctly that were priced at $1500.
Thanks for letting me showoff a little bit. And thanks again FH
