Anyone on here ever had trouble with feeder cattle overloading on rolled barley? We ve had to treat a few that overloaded the other night. They nosed the slide up on th eself feeder and ended up getting more than the were supposed to. Then they were acting like a bunch of drunks. We ve been feeding them a mixture of baking soda, mineral oil, and oxamin. I was teasing the guy that was helping us that the next time he gets drunk I ll put a tube down his throat and pump his gut full of this mixture. They seem to be getting better this morning. We turned off the water to the pen and put some bales of grass hay in for them to eat on til we get them back on grain.
