Will Sarah P weigh in? (she's been getting a little hefty lately)

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Tuesday’s announcement by President Obama that 7.1 million people have signed up for Obamacare set off a firestorm of controversy among opponents of math in the U.S. Congress.

Representative Michele Bachmann, a leading member of the anti-math caucus, told reporters, “Throughout the debate on Obamacare, there has been a tacit agreement to leave math out of it. Today, President Obama broke that agreement.”

Senator John Barrasso, an anti-math Republican from Wyoming, agreed. “It’s very disappointing to see the President use arithmetic for political purposes,” he said.

Bachmann said that she believed the American people “would see through President Obama’s desperate use of numbers.” She added, “Whenever this President gets in trouble, he hides behind data.”

The Minnesota Republican said that many others in Congress agreed with her, but she declined to count them.

"Indeed, the number of people who thus far have signed up to receive insurance through the exchanges (7.1 million) is merely a subset of the number of people whose plans were canceled (4.7 million)"

The unpublished RAND study – only the Los Angeles Times has seen it – found that just 23 per cent of new enrollees had no insurance before signing up.

And of those newly insured Americans, just 53 per cent have paid their first month's premiums.

If those numbers hold, the actual net gain of paid policies among Americans who lacked medical insurance in the pre-Obamacare days would be just 858,298.

Obama claimed Obamacare was to insure ALL those that did not have insurance EVERYONE WAS MANDATED TO HAVE INSURANCE. He claimed before this whole mess started that 31 million Americans were without insurance. If over 6 million lost their insurance (that is the number that has been announced for months and it is predicted to go MUCH HIGHER) and Obama is praising he signed up 7.1 Million and according to the RAND study only 858,298 were of the UN INSURED class of Americans. How can anyone boast this to be a success when 30 million of the 31 million un-insured are still uninsured even though they were ALL TO BE INSURED or face fines/taxes punishment.

Looks like a pretty sick success if they spent hundreds of billions of dollars to get 1 million more Americans insured. (ANd I in no way believe this fake fudged made up number as the Obama Administration can't tell the truth even under oath) Only Obama and his radical leftwingnut loons can consider this a success.

How many of those now on Medicaid are there even though they do not qualify?
How many are like Senator Rand Paul's son and were put on Medicaid even though they do not want to be there?
How many others signed up for Obamacare thinking they were going to get a big government subsidy to help pay their premium only to find out they don't qualify for a subsidy and the mistake was because of a Obamacare website glitch that was miscalculating subsidies?

This glitch filled system is going to have more than a few pulling their hair out when they find out they have no insurance even thou they paid the sky rocketing premiums. One guy was caught with a $407,000 hospital bill after he when though the system and got insured only to find out the Obamacare website glitch never sent his info on to the insurance company and they knew nothing about him come time to pay for his Emergency Triple Bypass.

Then you have to wonder just how many of the claimed 7 million are like Oldtimer and Pee Wee and think Government Healthcare/Obamacare is FREE for the taking and they do not have to pay for it. I've heard more than a few reports where people liked Obamacare right up until they realized they had to pay for it, then NO SO MUCH. As ill-informed as some of these Democrat supporters are I'm betting they still think Obama was telling them the truth about everything and all they had to do was sign up and everything would be provided for them FREE OF CHARGE like everything else the Dems GIVE AWAY TO BUY THEIR VOTES.
