Saturday, July 22 has been designated by The United States Senate as
The National Day of the Cowboy. ('Bout time...)

This day was set aside to celebrate the true American cowboy of the West so that others may recognize the importance and the necessity to preserve this way of life that is precariously slipping away.

Baxter Black will appear at the Hardin Middle School Auditorium,
8 pm, July 22.

Major sponsors of the event are Kings Saddlery of Sheridan, Super 8
Motel, Hardin; UAP Distributors, Inc. of Billings and Westmorland
Resources, Inc.

Tickets can be obtained by calling 406-665-3239.

If I'm not mistaken, it does have national dedication. I think the American Cowboy magazine has an article about it being designated as such. Second year I think?

Yes it is a National Holiday, so they say, I was just meaning if we could get more activities goin on that day to celebrate it. I think it's a relatively unknown fact as of yet, and needs to be more publicized that it's a Holiday. (Did that make more sense)
