While I do not want to renew the debate over April calving, tonight gave me one more reason to calve in February! We are having one heck of a blizzard tonight. 5 inches have fallen where the wind hasnt drifted it in just over 2 hours. The veiw north east out the backdoor. The brush is holding the drifts as the storm is coming from the west. Might be a fun commute in the morning! :???:
Nary a kid on the trampoline this evening. One hop and they'd be to Wyoming!
Fed the cows on the leeward side of the stackyard. Hurry up with supper girls and head for the shed!
The heifer pen had to squint to eat as the manger faces west.
As does the bull pen that contains one bull and one unleaded bull soon to become beef!
I think our bull even looks good in snowfluage!
Still chewing at a rapid pace! Still snowing sideways at a good clip too!
The haystack looks skinny! Thankfully I picked up 20 ton of oat hay that awaits my shoulder healing to get hauled home. If this weather keeps it up, it may get done one handed.
The calving suite still has it's Easter guest and his mother as occupants.
Pete R Cottontail would be his registered name if he had a fancier pedigree!

He knows where his bread is buttered!
All the youngsters are sheltered in place.
Say cheese with a flash in your eyes!
Flash Free!
The cats are taking cover in a dogless doghouse. They are amazing cow cats! You should see them stand in a gate and turn cows you want through the gate! :x But they don't bark too loud!
These two critters just eat and get doted on by two kids I know! Freeloaders! The goats, not my children!
April Blizzards make cold lizzards! Sorry, it's late and my rhyme suffer's due to the time!
Drifting snowflakes. The H2o is sure welcome but all ya'll east of here might want to keep your heads up. It should be heading east quick! Happy April! Anybody want to lease a dogsled and some huskies? I may need them to attend the day job!
