Beef checkoff launches video contest

By Lindsey Klingele on 3/26/2008 for Meatingplace.com

The National Beef Ambassador Program, sponsored in part by beef checkoff, announced the launch of the "More BEEF in More Places" video contest that will award contestants for sharing their love of beef over the Internet.

Contestants can upload onto YouTube 30- to 60-second videos that focus on how they enjoy "More BEEF in More Places," then e-mail a link of the video submission to [email protected], along with their full names and addresses. The videos will then be judged, and a grand-prize winner will receive an iPod Touch, with five finalists receiving "More BEEF in More places" t-shirts.

The National Beef Ambassador Program aims to involve today's youth in the beef industry by sending its message across the Internet, building and responding to beef messages and sharing information about the industry. The contest is designed to combine technology with beef enjoyment to further spread that message.
