Been Out Fencing (pix)

Hanta Yo and I have been fencing off and on for the past few days, in probly the biggest pasture on the whole ranch, and I'm tellin ya, it's HUGE. And even worse, the elks' favorite pasture, so the fence is wrecked. We even ended up doing the neighbor's side of the fence, since obviously he's not plannin on doin it any time soon, and he'd get really mad if our cows were on the hay fields over there. Sorry, forgot to resize them again, and it's pretty late right now.

Some cows and calves we ran into

Now, with the rather vivid imaginations that Hanta Yo and i have, we thought that this was what it looks like...

We drove up to this, mom was lookin at it and I looked too and it really looks like an old grave that has just sunk in after a long time. Dad says it's not, and it has somethin to do with a spring a long time ago. You'll have to ask him, I didnt get what he said. Musta been another one of those blonde moments or else I just plain had no idea what he was talkin bout.

MCG, you have a good eye for a picture. You also live in a beautiful area, and it's nice to see that you enjoy it, and appreciate it.

Before and after shots.. there's a concept... :)

I know all about bad fences... we went back to the indian reserve with cows this year as the band took over the leasing and limit the number of cows and time they can be in.. makes for much better grass. The fences are less than ideal. Lots of staples pounded through the wire...lots of wires wrapped willy nilly around coners that don't exist.
