I have been watching the Sotomayor hearings. I think my biggest concerns come from a private property case where a developer and a "village" condemned a piece of property in a blight zone and one land owner protested. The land owner brought a federal action against the develeoper when the developer told him he must pay the developer $800,000 for the lost rent the developer would get from the property if it was developed into a pharmacy.
Senator Chuck Grassley brought up this case and I think it was the probably the most damaging to Sotomayor and the court system as a whole in its role in interpreting the Constitution and property rights.

The real questions are at about minute 10 but the whole video is worthwhile. There was another off topic disruption at about minute 11 that was interesting.
The case hinged on the statute of limitations and property rights of takings.
There has been a lot of just garbage by people like Senator Sessions which has had nothing to do with the law or the records of the judgments by Sotomayor. He has done a disservice, in my opinion, to the credibility of the judiciary committee being able to make good decisions on judges.
