Limited Modified - led 10 laps of the race and someone decided he didnt need to lead anymore and took him into the wall, up on two wheels, then slammed him a 180, which blew the back left tire out when it landed. Broke both front A arms, brand new radiator is toast, fan and shroud are bent, motor mounts are broke, oil pans smashed, frame may be bent but won't know till it's all tore down, and the heads may be busted. Funny thing about it, the brand new Hoosier on the front right, the tire is actually ok, just the rim is mangled.
They blackflagged the car that did it (intentionally) and made him leave the race. They'd had 3 restarts because that fella was pushin from behind on the take offs, and bumpin before green flag was given. Rubbin's racin' but playin dirty only causes things like this to happen.

Our son is going to drive in B-modifieds this year for the first time. Worked on the car yesterday. I too am afraid of the dirt balls that intentionally do stupid stuff. It cost a bunch to race. I think the ones that don't have a sugar-daddy drive alot smarter. They realize the cost of dumb driving!!! Sorry to see the wrecked car.

In the 70's, I pitted for a guy who raced a stock car. 2 guys did the mech work and I did the sheet metal and painting. (some frame straightning) He had a sheet metal shop so I had all the equipment available. This lasted one season for me as it just took way too many hours. Talk about a money pit! The guy couldn't make a hot lap by himself without hitting something!

It is LOTS of fun....usually....and not all that expensive .....usually. The parts don't cost that much to replace, other than the heads if they are busted, just takes a lil time to git it back up and race ready. body work can usually be taken care of with a 2x4 and a hammer, just beat it back out and go again. This fix will take a lil time tho. But that's ok, he wasn't plannin on racin ever weekend this season anyway.
