Bermuda

Finally getting rainfall something close to 'normal' and what a difference it makes. All I've done for this field this year is fertilize, spray for broadleaf, and apply a single application of Lannate for a small caterpillar infestation.

We'll be baling within a week or so.

Amazing! So that's what Bermuda grass can do. I know our
friend in Texas sure likes it for his horses.

Did you find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?

Indeed I did. That light colored area near the base of the rainbow is where I'm excavating material to repair the roads. I traded the material to repair my neighbor's road in exchange for his crew and equipment to bale my bermuda. :D

Yeap Bermuda is awesome....if it gets enough rain on it at the right times when you first start it. Ours turned out great that we planted last year.

With the right conditions this week we'll be planting about 25 acres or so. I'll get some pics of the process to add to this thread.
