Well my van full of Roughies headed up to Lac La Biche this weekend-not very often we head north to a rodeo-it's beautiful country up there-just grass, lakes, bush and cows. Saturday was good-the boys entered a two head jackpot plus the regular rodeo. Ty got a bareback horse first and took the lead-then Jesse covered his first horse ever and rolled into second-the best was yet to come Landon got on his first bronc EVER and covered it to grab third. The novice horse riding was next-Ty got rolled into his hand and bucked off but Jesse covered another one and took the lead in it. Ty got on a horse in the open saddle bronc and was sitting second after Saturday. Sunday was good too-Ty covered his second jackpot horse to win it-everybody else bucked off so the Meadow Lake boys got to split $1,000. Jesse won a set of spurs for winning the Novice and Ty won a set for the jackpot. The next event was the Wild Ride-Austin pimped himself out and gathered up $500 in it. The horses were awesome-the contractor raised the barebackhorse of the NFR last year and he brought all his 3/4 year olds to town. The boys climbed on every turn out and exhibition they could -I think it was over 20 head for the weekend. Austin topped it off by doing a poem over the mic-it was a fun time in the Lac La Biche mud lol.
