I spent the day at McRaes- Big Dry Angus Sale that was at the Glasgow Stockyards.....Brent, Hilary and the crew had a very good sale--- very good looking black bulls....I heard the average was $2670 with all bulls (55) selling...Top bull was $4100- bottom was $1600....Very even set of bulls and thats how they sold- with many around the $2500-$3000 mark...

Bulls were home fed out and in working condition- not overly fat, but still looked good....

And again- a very quiet string of bulls that you could walk thru with out them getting excited- almost have to kick them out of the way to get to move :D , and not a one got excited being pushed around up and down the alleys during the sale......

McRaes have a very big following from Garfield County, surrounding counties, and the Missouri River country-- lot of repeat buyers that have bought for years...Seats were packed- and I'm sure the fact that parts of the area got an inch and half of rain last night didn't hurt things any.....I asked Brent how he special orders in these sale day rains :???:

Wittkopp Angus also had their sale after the Big Dry Sale-- they had about 45 bulls selling for an average of a little over $1700- with the top bull bringing $2900 and had 5-6 no sales....Good bulls but they just don't have the longtime following of Big Dry.....
