It's wet out there. got around 2 inches last evening and through the night. :D :D

I was hoping it would hit here- but went east of us again...We only got a tenth of an inch- with the north pasture picking up a little more... We could use a couple of inches as those 90 degree days dryed things out...

That's how it was around our place our soils can use about an inch per week.

That's just crazy. We are so dry we get excited about .2 of an inch. We will sure take any extra!!!!

Did you get some rain yesterday? I looked at the radar an it was raining from Colorado clear up into North Dakota. We got 1.2 inches yesterday afternoon.

No we didn't from that storm. But this morning about 5 we had a stray storm pop up and we got from 1 to 2 inches on everything we have. Storms this year have been very hit or miss. 5 miles down the road barely sprinkled.

It's about time you guys got some rain!!

We have taken our share, with about 3" since last Friday afternoon and overnight. Got our biggest branding set for Saturday rained out. Got about a half inch yesterday afternoon shortly after they pulled the ciders on heifers and turned them back out. Sun is just coming up now, and they should have been heading out to gather a pasture for the first branding of the day. Think they are getting a bit of a late start for all they have planned for today! Looks to be a pretty day here, unless the wind gets too strong.

Saw pictures on TV this morning of storm damage at Eden Prairie, MN. Lots of rain in a short time, and they had more earlier, on ground that looks to have a high sand content. One big digging machine of some sort really buried deep in a ravine. Apparently trying to keep a house from sliding down it. Several trees fell onto cars or homes, too. Looks like lots of damage there. Sure feel for those affected by all that. Makes me wonder how people can worship 'Mother Nature' when she can be so unforgiving and vengeful of people who simply choose the wrong beautiful place to build their homes.

After being as dry as I can remember for the past 6-8 months we have had from 3-6 inches of rain on our ground in the last 10 days or so. What a difference a little rain will make in an attitude!!!

Still no measurable precip this year. But I'm sure it will come eventually. :-)

Well danged if within a couple hours of my last post the clouds didn't roll in and give us some rain :D
Got .8" of very welcome moisture last night.

We went from the wettest April on record to the driest May - - - no rain at all from May 7th first and to the first of June and the crops were showing the stress.

Now we have had rain 7 out of the last 10 days - - - sure is unusual, down I the 50sF at night and in the mid 70sF daytime, but the crops sure look better!
