Big Sky Country

Big Sky Country doesn't have much big sky this morning...I took this picture from the deck around 11AM-- when the sun first came up you couldn't even see these trees in the yard.....

I tried to take some pictures earlier of the cows coming out of the fog- but I guess it was too dark or something-- anyway they didn't come out :? ...

I have to go inspect heifers for a guy this afternoon-- last time when we worked his steers it was so foggy we had a hard time even finding them to sort them....I gotta find out what he did to deserve all this fog...

And no- the flagpole is not leaning-- its just a cockeyed old camera holder :?

Soooo, count about 80 days and you should get some moisture :D

Send that stuff down here! We are dry, dry, dry! :(

Yep-- I hope we get some moisture...And I'd prefer it as rain in May and June !!!

I'm afraid we may have a wicked calving period this spring.... Joe Bastardi from Accuweather so far has been right on with his winter prediction he made for this area in October....He predicted one of the nicest winters in years-- warm and little or no snow for Dec., Jan, Feb, with only a few cold spells and storms-- but then a cold, wet, wicked March and April with some wicked storms....

So far all the oldtimers agree this is the nicest winter in years-- the only argument I've heard was how far back its been since such a nice winter-- several say 41-42--- others say back in the 30's....

I'm getting awful spoiled by still not having to do any feeding

Just got home after dark tonite-- and the fog is settling in the river bottom again....
